Playing times and court assignments will be available at www.advancedeventsystems.com. These will be posted on Thursday the week of the tournament.
Food, Beverages and Chairs:
No outside food, drinks, coolers, tables or chairs are permitted inside the convention center.
Water will be supplied for players and coaches only at stations throughout the playing area. Concessions will be available in the playing area. There is a food court in the main concourse which includes Bojangles, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Buon Cibo (pizza, paninis and salads) and Starbucks. Courtside seating will be provided for spectators during matches. We ask that you leave these seats open for spectators of the teams who are playing at the time.
Emergency Personnel and Medical Releases:
We will have Emergency Medical Technicians on site throughout the event. We will also have athletic trainers onsite Saturday and Sunday. The athletic trainers will be located in the Volleyball Anarchy tent by the vendor area. Tape will be supplied at the AT tent for $3 per roll. They will provide taping services and you keep the roll of tape.
All coaches are required to have a Medical Release Form for each player with them at all times.
Vendors will be located at the end of the court area and will be open during play time.
All pre-ordered Official 2014 Queen City Classic T-shirts and Hoodies will be available at the Convention Center concourse upon arrival.
Pre-ordered items will not be shipped. If you missed the deadline for pre-ordering, we will have a limited supply available in the Volleyball Anarchy vendor booth.
No preorders will be shipped. All pre-ordered wristbands can be picked up in the main concourse by the College Street entrance.
Please note that the North Carolina Department of Revenue has changed the way they tax spectator entry fees. Last year we paid 3% Amusement Tax on each wristband sold. Starting this year, they have abolished the amusement tax and we now have to pay 7.25% standard NC sales tax on these. Therefore, the price for the wristband on the website is $13.99. When you checkout, the sales tax will be added to bring your total to $15.00.
One-day wristbands can be purchased at the door for $9.00 and are good for the day of purchase only. Full event wristbands can be purchased at the door for $15.00. Note: Players and staff on team rosters receive their wristbands at team check-in. These are included in their team entry fee.
There is a map under the “Where to Stay” tab that shows some parking lot choices around the convention center. Parking is the responsibility of attendees. The tournament cannot validate any parking passes.
Queen City Classic will hold a college recruiting showcase on Friday January 31st from 6:30-8:00 PM. Players will begin warm-up at 5:45 PM. Costs to enter is $50.00 and will include a showcase t-shirt. Information on registration will be sent via email and posted on the QCC website in early January.
